The West Valley Water District has proudly served the communities of Bloomington, Colton, Fontana, Rialto, San Bernardino, and Jurupa Valley since 1952. Through name changes and consolidation, the mission has always remained the same: to provide customers with safe, high quality, and reliable water service at a reasonable rate and in a sustainable manner. The District provides water for 83,000 customers and is overseen by a five-member, publicly-elected Board of Directors.
Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) is a regional wastewater treatment agency and wholesale distributor of imported water. Today, the Agency is responsible for serving approximately 875,000 people over 242 square miles in western San Bernardino County. The Agency is focused on providing three key services: (1) treating wastewater and developing recycled water, local water resources, and conservation programs to reduce the region’s dependence on imported water supplies, thus enabling the service area to become drought-resilient; (2) converting biosolids and waste products into a high-quality compost made from recycled materials; and (3) generating electrical energy from renewable sources.
The San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District is a State Water contractor that provides supplemental water to 14 retail water agencies from Fontana to Yucaipa, meeting the water needs of nearly 800,000 business and residential customers. In addition to providing supplemental water from Northern California, Valley District is responsible for long-range water planning throughout its 325 square mile service area, including groundwater management, wastewater and storm water disposal, and demand management and water use efficiency.
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is one of the largest public water utilities in the United States and provides approximately half of all water supplies to the residents of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties. Metropolitan is governed by a 38-member board of directors. As a state and national leader in advancing sound water policy, Metropolitan is addressing current and future water challenges with sound investments and planning for water supply infrastructure, conservation, water recycling, groundwater and sustainability.
Eastern Municipal Water District is the water, wastewater service and recycled water provider to nearly one million people living and working within a 555-square mile service area in western Riverside County. It is California’s sixth-largest retail water agency, and its mission is “To deliver value to our diverse customers and the communities we serve by providing safe, reliable, economical and environmentally sustainable water, wastewater and recycled water services.”
